Zone Go is our mobile youth space for 11–18s, bringing somewhere to chill, create, connect and be themselves directly into local communities.

Built to go where young people are, Zone Go transforms parks, estates and neighbourhood spaces into temporary youth hangouts. Its distinctive inflatable structures create an instantly recognisable space, filled with gaming, music, crafts, games and opportunities to get creative — all alongside plenty of room to simply hang out.

Young people don’t have to arrive with a plan. They can pick up a controller, make something, join an artist-led activity, meet new people or find a spot to relax. What happens in the space is shaped by the young people who use it, with friendly youth workers there to make everyone feel welcome.

Zone Go grew from everything we learned through The Zone. Young people had shown us the value of having a dedicated space in the heart of a town or city — but we also knew that not everyone could get there. So we asked a different question: what if the youth space could come to them?

Launched in 2026, Zone Go took that idea on the road, popping up in neighbourhoods across Lincoln as well as reaching young people in Mansfield and at Bradford’s BD:Festival. Its flexible, mobile design means it can bring the same sense of welcome and belonging to communities without needing a permanent building.

And the impact goes beyond having something to do. Our first summer showed us that young people value having a space close to home where they can connect with others, feel comfortable being themselves and feel more positive about the place where they live.

Every Zone Go location is shaped by its community. Different places, different young people, different activities — but always somewhere to chill, create and be you.

Looking for our pop-up youth space, The Zone?

The Zone transforms town centres into vibrant spaces where young people can chill, create, connect and be themselves.

When Zone Go is open, young people aged 11–18 can drop in for free activities, creative experiences and a welcoming place to hang out — no booking required. Parents or carers complete a quick registration form the first time, and young people can then check in as often as they like throughout the programme.

Zone Go is designed for young people who already spend time independently in public spaces, such as parks, town centres and high streets. We provide a safe, welcoming place where they can relax, get creative and connect with others while they're out and about. Our activities are supervised by trained staff, but as the spaces are located in public areas, young people are free to come and go as they choose.

All of our Youth Arts Workers are DBS checked and trained in safeguarding and first aid. Zone Go is delivered by Zest, a registered charity and National Portfolio Organisation supported by Arts Council England. You can find out more about us here.

Impacts & Outcomes

Not every young person has a youth space on their doorstep — and not everyone can travel into a town or city centre to find one. Zone Go was created to change that, taking the things young people value about The Zone and bringing them directly into their own neighbourhoods.

Launched in 2026, our first summer showed just how much difference bringing a welcoming space closer to home can make:

• 98% of young people surveyed said Zone Go made them feel more positive about where they live.

• 100% rated their overall experience as good or amazing, with 72% choosing amazing.

• 59% said this was their first time taking part in an arts and culture experience.

• 63% said they trusted the adults at Zone Go, while 41% connected with other people and 39% made new friends.

• 67% said they could express themselves, and 59% felt respected.

Zone Go is more than a mobile youth space — it’s a flexible way to bring connection, creativity and opportunity directly into communities, transforming everyday outdoor spaces into somewhere young people can chill, create and be themselves.
