Making space for young voices across Mansfield
Mansfield Youth Voice is a creative listening project placing young people at the heart of conversations about their town.
Commissioned by Mansfield District Council, we are visiting schools and community groups across Mansfield to create space for young people to speak honestly about their lives, their hopes, their frustrations, and the changes they want to see.
These sessions will directly contribute to the Mansfield District Council Youth Strategy, ensuring that young people’s views and lived experiences are meaningfully represented in decisions that affect them. The workshops offer students a safe and engaging space to share their ideas, develop confidence and explore issues that matter to them and their communities. Using Zest’s trauma-informed, youth-led approach, sessions are designed to feel open, relaxed and genuinely collaborative, young people can share as much or as little as they want.
Over a series of creative sessions, we are working directly with young people across Mansfield to explore:
What it feels like to grow up in Mansfield right now
What’s working – and what isn’t
Where they feel safe, seen and supported
What needs to change
What a better future could look like
